Patch 26.16Sketch

Counter Twisted Fate

The opponents who give Twisted Fate trouble, and how to handle each one.

Where these numbers come from

They are pulled from the mode's own files for patch 26.16, the one currently live. The source is community-run rather than an official Riot API, and the game shifts with community votes, so a gap with your own game is always possible.

Kassadin
Kassadin

The Void Walker

Nightmare

He punishes you on both fronts you're supposed to win: mobility and map control. Once his ultimate is up, it cancels the whole point of roaming elsewhere, because he can reach you faster than your Gate can carry you away. Play the lane to shove fast and roam before that power spike lands, save your ultimate to confirm he isn't already tracking you, and avoid any direct engage past the midgame.

Katarina
Katarina

The Sinister Blade

Hard

She closes the gap faster than you can load a useful card, and channeling Gate becomes an invitation to die if she's nearby. Never roam until she's confirmed elsewhere on the map, or you'll come back to an already lost lane. Always load a defensive card before she reaches range, and favor poking from distance with Wild Cards over prolonged melee contact.

Veigar
Veigar

The Tiny Maser of Evil

Even

Two mages who win through timing rather than raw power. His cage punishes a predictable approach hard, so vary your angle and never load a card within range of his root. Your edge is card mobility: use it to roam while he's stuck farming alone, denying him the experience he needs to eventually outscale you.
