Patch 26.16Sketch

Counter Tryndamere

The opponents who give Tryndamere trouble, and how to handle each one.

Where these numbers come from

They are pulled from the mode's own files for patch 26.16, the one currently live. The source is community-run rather than an official Riot API, and the game shifts with community votes, so a gap with your own game is always possible.

Malphite
Malphite

Shard of the Monolith

Nightmare

He's built to switch you off. His armor eats your crits, Ground Slam strips the attack speed you live on, and his shield cancels your first window. You will not win this duel, so stop looking for it. Farm, take what you can, and play your game on the map rather than in the lane: push the wave when he leaves to join his team, that's where you cost him the most.

Jax
Jax

Grandmaster at Arms

Hard

Counter Strike dodges every one of your auto attacks, which is all of your damage, and stuns you afterwards. Never take an extended trade while it's up: hit, step back, wait for it to drop. Mocking Shout cuts his attack damage and helps over a long fight. Your ultimate saves you from one death but doesn't win the duel: use it to leave, not to insist.

Nasus
Nasus

The Curator of the Sands

Favorable

He's slow, immobile, and miserable while his counter is low. This is exactly the lane you want: harass him constantly, deny him comfortable farming, and stop him laying bricks. The one real danger is Wither, which guts the attack speed your crits depend on: engage right after he spends it, never before. Take his tower early, because over a long game he eventually passes you.
