Counter Kassadin

The opponents who give Kassadin trouble, and how to handle each one.

Where these numbers come from

They are pulled from the mode's own files for patch 26.16, the one currently live. The source is community-run rather than an official Riot API, and the game shifts with community votes, so a gap with your own game is always possible.

Malzahar
Malzahar

The Prophet of the Void

Nightmare

He shoves the wave effortlessly with his voidlings, pins you under tower and silences you before you even think about stepping up. Worse, his ultimate locks you in place completely, so mobility doesn't save you. Farm with Nether Blade under the tower, never walk forward while his silence is available, and hold Null Sphere for the moment he tries to channel. Buy magic resist early, ask for jungle attention, and treat the lane as pure survival until your ultimate.

Pantheon

The Artisan of War

Hard

The worst case for you: physical damage, so Void Stone gives you nothing, plus poke that stops you holding the wave. His spears push you out of lane before six, and his stun hands him the engage whenever he wants it. Buy armor on your first recall, only take the minions you can reach without exposing yourself, and refuse every trade under your tower. Once your ultimate is up you can finally punish him for spending his spear on the wave.

Ahri
Ahri

The Nine-Tailed Fox

Even

She wins the early levels, you win everything after, but she's the one mage on this roster who can run from you even once you've found her. Dodge the charm by moving sideways rather than backwards, it's the single spell that ends you. After six, don't commit while she still holds all three dashes: wait until she spends them on the wave or on another fight, then silence her first so she can't leave.
