Patch 26.16SketchCounter Rammus
The opponents who give Rammus trouble, and how to handle each one.
Where these numbers come from
They are pulled from the mode's own files for patch 26.16, the one currently live. The source is community-run rather than an official Riot API, and the game shifts with community votes, so a gap with your own game is always possible.
He beats you in a duel before your items even exist, and he wins the tempo race because his ganks need no wind-up. Never contest a camp alone in the first few minutes, keep river vision and let him overextend instead. Your one window is Defensive Ball Curl: if he commits to hitting you in melee, taunt him so he has to finish the trade on your terms. Once your armor items land the matchup flips outright, so play to get there.

He refuses the duel you want and steals the camps you can't watch. His boxes slow you, which kills the acceleration on Powerball and makes your arrival harmless. Clear starting from the side opposite his, get river vision early, and never walk into a camp without knowing where he is. His real weakness against you is melee range: the moment he commits onto a curled Rammus he punishes himself, so let him come rather than chasing him.

This is exactly why you exist. His entire kit runs on basic attacks, so Defensive Ball Curl hands part of his own damage back while he hits you, and your taunt forces him to hit you. Don't hunt him early, he farms faster than you do. Wait for the grouped fight, hold the taunt exclusively for the moment he lands on your carry, and curl immediately after. Against him Thornmail is a priority buy, not a comfort one.
