Patch 26.16Sketch

Counter Kog'Maw

The opponents who give Kog'Maw trouble, and how to handle each one.

Where these numbers come from

They are pulled from the mode's own files for patch 26.16, the one currently live. The source is community-run rather than an official Riot API, and the game shifts with community votes, so a gap with your own game is always possible.

Ezreal
Ezreal

The Prodigal Explorer

Nightmare

He pokes you from a distance where you cannot answer, and the day you finally reach him he blinks out of range. Do not look for trades before your item spike: farm behind the minion line, stand at an angle so his shots eat a minion before you, and track his resources instead of his health bar. Your one opening is the moment his mobility is spent, and it needs a support who can lock him down. Without that, play for survival and wait for mid game.

Tristana
Tristana

The Megling Gunner

Hard

She jumps on you, knocks your non-existent escape back in your face and executes you. The danger is not the lane itself, it is the moment she hits her ultimate level with a support who can lock you in place. Stand where her jump cannot drag you back under her tower, hold Void Ooze for the instant she lands, and never spend Barrage on a short trade, you lose the damage race before it pays off. Late on, her range catches up with yours, so win before that.

Ashe
Ashe

The Frost Archer

Even

She owns the early game, you own everything after. While she outranges you, step in only for last hits and accept losing farm under tower rather than eating a free slow that turns into a gank. Once Barrage is maxed the gap inverts and she is the one who cannot step forward. Watch her ultimate as fights approach: stunned, you are dead, so stay out of its firing line and keep your front line between the two of you.
